Summer Clay and Throwing Camps 2025

About Sacramento Pottery Camps

Everyone loves to play with clay… imagine how much fun your child will have learning new creative skills and doing projects with a group of others at this summer’s camps. Summer clay and throwing camps at ACAI Studios are a wonderful way for children and teens to develop their creative talents.

ACAI’s Sacramento Summer Art Clay Camps teachers are expert clay artists who have experience providing interactive and fun educational experiences for your children. Your child will learn about clay, the creative process, and art design during their summer art clay camp. Our summer clay camp instructors work with your children on individual and team projects, providing them with the best possible experience.

We encourage you to register early as our camps often end up full. We recognize that situations and plans can change. To assure you and at the same time be fair to others interested in our camps, we have established the refund and transfer policy at the bottom of this page.

Summer Clay Camp - Full

Kids ages seven and up are welcome to join us at clay camp daily, Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 12 noon. Clay and glazes are non-toxic and washable but send them in their “clay clothes.” Campers will learn about clay, the creative process, design, and creating with clay. During the week, we will teach both individual and team construction methods. Camps include all clay, glazes, materials, and firing fees,

The one-week camps are from June 16th through August 1st. Cost: $159.

Summer Youth Throwing Camp Full

Our Summer Throwing Camp is from 9 am to 12 noon for ages 11 and up. Young people love to explore with clay … imagine how much fun they will have learning new creative skills on the potter’s wheel. They will learn how to make various vessels, including cups, bowls, and pots of different shapes and sizes. As part of the class, they will learn all aspects of using the potter’s wheel, preparing clay, centering, forming a shape, and finishing a piece on the wheel. They will learn how to trim and glaze their work. Prepare the clay, center clay for throwing, attach handles and decorative elements to pots, finish their creations, and glaze them. Camps include all clay, glazes, materials, and firing fees,

One-week camps are weekly from June 16th to August 1st. Cost: $169.

Summer Camps: Refunds & Transfers

Refunds – We grant refunds with an emailed request to information@acaistudios.com. As follows:

If the request is 4 or more weeks before the camp start date, 100% less PayPal processing fees.

If the request is between 2 and 4 weeks before the camp start date, 50%.

Transfers: We grant transfers with an emailed request to information@acaistudios.com. As follows:

We will make transfers if the request is 4 or more weeks before the camp start date, depending on availability.

If the transfer request is between 2 and 4 weeks before the camp start date, we charge a $50 transfer fee.

If the request for a refund or transfer is less than 2 weeks before the start date, the director may grant credit or transfer. This will depend on the circumstances, such as medical problems or family emergencies.
