The June/July show at ACAI is” Some Walk, Some Swim, Some Fly” as long as something in the image propels itself at some point in the lifecycle, whether real, abstract, mythical, or fantasy, the art fits.
Centered around this theme, we have a great variety of creatures, from spiders to mythological beings, from lions to sealions, and from dogs to cats. Each piece is unique. The show is worth the visit to ACAI.
The show includes work by 12 artists in a variety of mediums such as oils, photography, mosaics, glass, encaustics, ceramics, and mixed media. In addition, we have 2 members’ areas where decorative and functional pottery is on sale.
The show opens June 3rd and runs through July 18th. Hours are Wednesday through Friday from 1 pm to 4 pm and Saturday from 11 am to 2 pm. The Artist Reception is on June 20th from 4 pm to 6 pm, and the Gallery is open on June 20th from 11 am to 6 pm. Hope to see you there.
The August/September Gallery theme is “From Natural to Abstract”. This theme is suitable for any medium and should result in a very eclectic show. The show will run from July 29th through September 19, 2026. Watch here for more information as the show develops.
Gallery hours are Wednesday through Friday from 1 pm to 4 pm and Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm. On the Reception Saturday of each show, the hours are from 11 am to 6 pm, with the artists available from 4 pm to 6 pm.
